TIME - a Precious Commodity

Before I begin, I would like to thank everyone for their support and kind words on my first blog! I appreciate you all.  Thank you.

When I was thinking about a topic to share with you this week, what came to mind was that many of you had heard the story I shared in my last blog and thanked me for the reminder of the important things in life, that we need to take time for.  I also got a lot of response when I posted on facebook that I was grateful for "time"...something we all have..it is how we spend it that counts.

This got me thinking there are many ways to spend time and time can easily be wasted. It is most often not recognized until it is too late.  How many times has the day ended and you look back at it and wonder...where did the time go? I never got everything done, but I was busy all day!  But busy with what?  I find it is easy to get busy with 'stuff' and before you know it the day is gone and you really have not got anything accomplished.  In 2011, I am focusing on spending my time productively.  If you are in business ask yourself.."Is this activity an 'income producing' activity? Am I working 'in' my business or just 'on' my business? Will this activity push me forward? Lift me higher?"

Here is a tip, I learned last year from our good friend Bill Walsh, while attending one of his seminars...In the evening before you end your day write down 10 things you would like to accomplish before 10am. "Ten before ten"  This is a great exercise to try for a month.  It really helps.  I find it does not necessarily have to be 10 before 10, it can just be 10 or more things you want to accomplish for the day.  Then check them off as you accomplish them.

Make your time count and have a great week!"
